Been a while since I last wrote. Stuff that has happened ----

1. Son got a divorce.

2. I am trying to do Weight Watchers again.

3. Daughter kicked out husband. Filed for divorce.

4. Daughter was in a car wreck. She's ok.

5. I've been seeing a fella. Or two.

6. I'm still seeing my shrink - well she's actually a counselor.

7. I'm studying for life insurance agent test.

8. Grandchildren are growing up. They are beautiful.

That's about it for now.

Family Tree Maker 2009 - Problem!!!

OK, if anyone out there can help me, I surely would appreciate it. I do genealogy. I had been using Family Tree Maker 2006. I decided to upgrade. Now I'm kicking myself.

I purchased Family Tree Maker 2009. Well.....I have had nothing but problems after problems after problems!!!!

I installed 2009. Took the family file and the backup file from 2006 and tried to import it. No good. File stops importing at individual 6,669 every time!!!!

I did some searching on the internet to see if I could find help. Said to upgrade 2006 and then do backup and import it. I tried. I did an upgrade to 2006 and it bombed!!!! Also says to open it up in 2006 to see who individual is that it stops at. I can't. 2006 is dead!

Now I have no 2006. I tried and tried to repair 2006 and I thought I almost had it. It opened and asked me to open the file. I tried to open the backup file and it said it was a newer version!!!! OH NO!!

Now here I am with this file 970,734 KB big that is sitting there and I cannot use it, I cannot get into it. It has years and years of information on it. No, I did not do a Gedcom file.

Is there anyone out there that can help me figure out how to import this file into 2009!!!!

Drink a couple cups of coffee.

Talk on phone with son.
Checked out facebook page.
Boy, I am boring myself.

Daughter is mad at her brother.
Granddaughter had her tonsils removed.
Grandson is growing like a weed.
Dog is barking at squirrels.
Cat is meowing.
Flowers are blooming.
I'm tired.
